This is a specialized adapter that will allow you to use your 4 conductor device (typically left/right audio and microphone) in a stereo only port (left/right audio&comma but terminating the microphone connector). This specific adapter uses the CTIA/AHJ OR OMTP wiring standard typically used by most computers&comma headsets&comma and apple devices. Adapter will universally support BOTH wiring standards as pins 3 & 4 on the 4 conductor female connector will BOTH be connected to pin 3 on the TRS Male Stereo connector
